The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) met from 3rd to 5th April 2024 and decided to keep the policy rate unchanged at 6.50% and remain focused on withdrawal of accommodation and committed in aligning inflation to the target. The BSE Sensex closed at 73,651 up by 1.59% and the Nifty 50 closed at 22,327up by 1.57% in March 2024.
